Computer Technology

This one-credit course is required in the High School Completion Program at COCC.  It is graded pass/fail.  To pass this course, the student must first prove proficiency in basic computer skills including using educational software, using word processing programs, accessing the Internet and using web browsers, using e-mail, and keyboarding. The student will write an I-Search paper using Internet sources to investigate an issue related to technology and write a Household Technologies paper. Then, the student will complete four lessons and demonstrate proficiency in the use of Excel.
